Delta Air Lines has returned to London Gatwick Airport after 15 years, starting a new route from New York John F. Kennedy Airport. The new route will intensify competition in the New York-London market, bringing the number of daily flights between the cities to an average of 35, with Delta offering 10,400 two-way weekly seats between the cities. The airline will operate the new route daily using Boeing 767-300 aircraft, alongside its existing double-daily service to London Heathrow.
